Classroom Interactions
School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics
Design and implement effective instruction in the high school classroom. Examine student differences to plan learning experiences and design assessments that are responsive to the variability among students' needs to promote all students' learning. Review STEM education policy. Engage in and reflect upon coached high school field experiences with observations and teaching, including a multi-period or multi-day lesson. Three lecture hours weekly for one semester; minimum 15 hours of fieldwork required. Restricted to students in the UTeach Dallas program. 3 credit hours.
Prerequisites: NATS 1143 and a university grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.750 and a GPA of 3.000 or better in UTeach coursework and UTeach advisor consent required.
Prerequisite or Corequisite: NATS 3341.
