Individual instruction (weekly half-hour lesson) in the secondary instrument for students pursuing the BA in Visual and Performing Arts with Music Concentration. Also appropriate for the music minor or the performing arts minor with a music focus area. Course is offered for voice, piano, guitar, woodwinds, brass, strings, harp, and percussion. Enrollment limited to VPA music concentrations, music minors, or performing arts minors with a music focus area. Others may only enroll with the permission of the Associate Dean for the Arts. An audition may be required for appropriate placement. May be repeated for credit (8 semester credit hours maximum). Corequisite: Concurrent enrollment in a 1 SCH ensemble is required. 1 credit hours.
