GISC 4368
School of Economic, Political and Policy Sciences
Many organizations and private industries employ spatial real estate data in their critical operations. Some notable uses include property tax assessment, municipal code compliance, marketing, multiple real estate listings, transportation planning, and short-term rentals. Applications in spatial real estate support investors now more than ever by revealing the implications of location in their investment decisions. What is the nature of real estate? What are the fundamental theories that drive real estate purchase decisions? GIS is a valuable tool to explore answers to these questions and apply real estate theories within spatial contexts. 3 credit hours.
