Bilingual Speech Assessment and Treatment

This course will review developmental norms for phonology and articulation and considerations in assessment and treatment including dialectical differences, transfer, and cross-linguistic effects. Emphasis will be on Spanish-English bilinguals although general bilingual practice considerations will be discussed. This course is offered in an online format only. At the discretion of the professor, exams of fully online courses may use proctoring software that requires a webcam scan of the testing area and the recording of all activity during the exam. Pass/Fail only. 1 credit hours.
Prerequisites: Coursework in articulation disorders. BBSC majors only and department consent required.
