Focus on the work of the Post-Impressionists (Seurat, Gauguin, Van Gogh, and Cezanne) and the Symbolists with special emphasis on the artists' contribution to the discourse of ideas and the crisis of meaning in the late nineteenth century. 3 credit hours.
