Introduces undergraduate students to the fundamental operational responsibilities and creative leadership capacities essential for thriving careers in the performing arts. This course provides a comprehensive understanding of leadership dynamics unique to the performing arts industry, empowering students to navigate and excel in leadership roles within diverse artistic contexts. Through discussions, presentations, and interactive activities, students will explore various leadership processes prevalent in performing arts organizations, honing their skills to evaluate and implement them effectively. Topics will include gaining knowledge and practical skills to effectively lead performing arts organizations such as orchestras, theaters, film studios, and dance companies, and successfully manage artistic careers in the creative economy.
