This course provides an introduction to quantum networks and quantum communication. Topics include the Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen paradox, Bell inequality, photonic entanglement, single-photon sources, quantum key distribution, quantum memory, quantum transducers, quantum repeater, quantum state teleportation, entanglement swapping, and distributed quantum computing. 3 credit hours.
Prerequisite: PHYS 4346 or PHYS 4301 or equivalent.
