This is a project-based capstone course for graduate students to work on mechanical engineering design problems. The course covers the roles of formulation, conceptualization, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation in engineering design. Project economics is discussed with stress on optimization, concurrent development, integration of design and manufacturing, and systems creation. 3 credit hours.
Prerequisites: MECH 3305 and MECH 3320 and (MECH 3340 or MECH 4310) and MECH 3351 or equivalent courses and department consent required..
