This course covers variational principles, the principle of least action, Lagrange's and Hamilton's equations. Holonomic and nonholonomic constraints will be imposed in dynamics analysis. This course also covers coupled and uncoupled multiple degree-of-freedom linear systems, rigid body dynamics, and gyroscopic effects. 3 credit hours.
Prerequisites: (MECH 2420 or equivalent) and (MECH 2330 or equivalent) and (MECH 4310 or MECH 4340) or equivalent.
