Mathematical Problem Solving

Problem solving techniques including graphs, combinatorial techniques, induction, number theory, geometry and symmetry and heuristics. Students will learn to maintain good control of the problem-solving process, and will gain proficiency in presenting solutions in both oral and written form. 3 credit hours.
Prerequisite: MATH 2413 or MATH 2417 or MATH 3321.
