A study of themes in the history of African-Americans in the twentieth century. The course will focus on the civil rights movement, though other themes will also be explored. Emphasis will be on African-American perspectives and the ongoing struggle for self-determination by African-Americans. 3 credit hours.
Prerequisite: Completion of a 060 core course.
