Naveen Jindal School of Management
Students will learn the fundamentals of early stage venture capital finance and operations in a learn-by-doing setting. Students will meet with and evaluate startup companies seeking funding, conduct due diligence and market analysis, and at the end of the semester deliver a report detailing their findings and investment recommendation. Students will put into practice what they have learned in their marketing, finance, and strategy courses and will learn how venture capital firms, equity financing, and the venture industry operate. Sources of funding provided to the startups may be from outside venture capital and investment firms. 3 credit hours.
