The Cybersecurity Essentials course develops a foundational understanding of cybersecurity as a business risk. This class will help identify threats to an organization and how they relate to cyber security. An in-depth understanding of the different types of cyberattacks, the business systems that are most at risk, and the importance of an organization-wide approach to cybersecurity. This course will also cover the crucial role of leadership in managing cyber risk throughout the entire organization. May not be used to satisfy the degree requirements of the MS CS or the MS SE degree plans. 3 credit hours.
