Special emphasis on programming paradigms like object-oriented programming and data structures like vectors, tuples and dictionaries. Applications to processing, modeling and analysis of biological data. Fundamentals and use of tools for biological computation including Biopython. Usage of Python Notebooks as an environment to perform computations and run programs. 3 credit hours.
Prerequisites: (BIOL 2281 or equivalent) and BIOL 2311 and BIOL 2312.
