In this course, students learn about the relationship between media and technology within the histories of Western racism and colonialism; how structural racism affects technology development, the media industries, and media representations; and how race is articulated in media and technology, including in film, television, and digital media. 3 credit hours.
Prerequisite: ATCM 2325 or ATCM 3321 or instructor consent required.
