This course introduces students to basic camera functions and operations, which will be explored using the ubiquitous smartphone. Camera apps will be discussed to develop an effective digital workflow, from multiple approaches to image capture and editing to post-processing and sharing. Principles and elements of design within photography will be applied as students explore social media platforms and photo sharing sites. Through creative projects, emphasis will be placed on single image capture, but sequencing and stop motion may also be introduced. 3 credit hours.
